Since the late 60s’ Treviso, its rise has been unstoppable and just in a few years it has become a certainty in the menus of almost all restaurants, not only in the Italian ones. Maybe the original nutritional and aphrodisiac virtues have been lost, but people have never stopped ordering and eating it. This unique dessert, even if it has a simple recipe, is a gluttony which you can’t resist eating. The ingredients are known to all: mascarpone cheese, egg yolks, sugar, Savoiardi biscuits, coffee and unsweetened cocoa powder, even if during these last years many people reinvented the recipe, creating lots of different versions. You don’t have to be a star chef to make it: this may be the reason of its success. For the lovers, on next 6th October, in Treviso we’ll celebrate the Tiramisù Day- a day full of workshops, cooking shows, contests and tastings.
