Open races, collateral to European Masters Athletics Championships 2019

 

Starting times
10K Open start will be at 9 am from Via Danimarca – Jesolo;
Half Marathon start will be at 9.30 am. from Via Danimarca – Jesolo

Average minimum temperature: 17°C

Bib number and race kit collection
Bib numbers (with timing chip) can be collected in person from 1 pm on Tuesday 3 September until 7 pm on Saturday 14 September at the Accreditation Centre near Picchi stadium in Jesolo.

Race number assignment
Race numbers will be assigned in a progressive way depending on the entry date (who will sign up earlier will receive a lower bib number).

Starting cage
If necessary it will be assigned on the base of the best personal time realized in the last 2 years and declared during the registration. It will be indicated with a specific identifying color on the bib.

Parking
Several parking lots are available at both starting and arrival area.

Storage of bags with personal clothing
A free storage service will be provided for the bags containing the athletes’ personal clothing in the start and finish area. The bags must be delivered to the appointees by 8:45 am

Services at starting area
In the starting area the athletes will find changing rooms and toilets.

Timing
The timing of the race will be by FIDAL Servizi.
The detection device will be applied to the back of the bib number and the appropriate sensors will record the actual time that each athlete will take to complete the race. Surveys will be made at the start (for the calculation of the net time), at km 10 and on arrival. Times and classifications will be available in real time during the competition on the website: www.openraces.emac-venice2019.com.

Services along the course
Athletes will have four refreshment points with water and comfort items at km 5, 10, 15 and 20). To preserve the territory we ask you not to throw the bottles but to deposit them near the special containers.
3 sponges points will be prepared, at 7.5 kilometers; 12.5 and 17.5.

Maximun timing
Maximum time- 10km: 1h15′
Maximum time – half marathon: 2h45′
After these times the Organisation may not guarantee the complete closure of the course.

Awards
First three men and women, not signed for European Championships, will be awarded with medals and prizes in kind.

Services at the arrival point
After the finishing line the final refreshment will be arranged.
In the post-arrival technical area, you will find in order: the collection area of the bags with personal clothing and the changing area with showers and toilets.

Medical assistance
An adequate medical service and a “broom” service will guarantee athletes’ safety in case of physical issues or retirement.

Route:
the half marathon will be run with start and finish in via Danimarca on a ring route to be repeated 2 times easily reachable by car and with many parking lots. In the giving area, locker rooms, bag storage and hand washing stations. The start will be given in the morning from Via Danimarca and you will immediately dive into the countryside just outside Jesolo, going along the Cavetta canal up to Via Miozzo, then
The route will wind through the avenues of the beautiful marine pine forest to arrive after the second lap at the finish in Via Danimarca Those who run the 10 Km will start 30 minutes before the half marathon and will enjoy the same beauties of the suggestive half marathon route.
